Tides Of Tomorrow

13th Annual Sustainable Ocean Conference

The conference brings together stakeholders and rightsholders dedicated to marine conservation and management. This year’s theme, “Tides of Tomorrow,” emphasizes sustainability, equity, and interdisciplinary approaches to ocean space management.

Organized by Master of Marine Management Candidates from Dalhousie University’s Marine Affairs Program, this student-led conference is unique in Atlantic Canada. The event provides a platform for connection and collaboration through:

• Keynote presentations

• Graduate research showcases

• Panel discussions

• Ocean showcase featuring diverse marine conservation and management initiatives

Dr. Diz Glithero, Executive Director of the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition (COLC) and new Adjunct Professor in the MAP program, will contribute to the discussions.

Sponsored by the Sobey Fund for Ocean, this free public conference explores research and coexistence in marine spaces, fostering innovative approaches for sustainable ocean management.
